When you book, I'll confirm it and give you a two-hour window rather than a whole day sat at home waiting. On the morning you get a text with a tracking link, so you can see where I've got to instead of wondering. Traffic and the job before yours are real, so it's a window rather than a promise to the minute, but if it slips you'll hear it from me first.

Booking something in: I can usually get to you within a day or two. October to January is the busy stretch, so it can be a bit longer then. Book ahead if you're able to.

Something urgent: ring rather than email. I'll get to you the same day if I've got the room, and I'll say so plainly if I haven't, rather than leaving you hoping.

It helps if you can tell me the make of the boiler, roughly how old it is, any code on the display, and what it's actually doing. Nine times out of ten that's enough for me to have a fair idea of the fault, and what it'll cost, before I set off.

I am based in South Molton, Devon, and travel distances are measured from there. Most of my work is in Barnstaple, alongside Bideford, Ilfracombe, Braunton, Great Torrington, Fremington, Woolacombe, Lynton, Combe Martin and the surrounding North Devon communities.

Travel within 25 miles of South Molton is included; beyond that radius, a £30 including-VAT travel charge applies and is disclosed before booking.
