Cottages up the valley sides and lets by the beach
The village has a long history, silver mining included, and plenty of its housing is old: stone cottages along the main street and up the side lanes, with bungalows and newer houses mixed in. Down towards the beach there's a good share of holiday lets.
Two things follow. On older cottages, the heating has usually been changed bit by bit, so a fault can sit anywhere from the boiler to a valve under the floor, and I find it before anything is spent. Yes. Give me your changeover dates, and a key holder can let me in if you're not local. The certificate is emailed to you.
Do you cover Berrynarbor?
Yes, if the property is on mains gas. It's close to Combe Martin, and travel there is included too.
Does a holiday let need a boiler service as well as the gas safety check?
The gas safety check is the legal requirement, every 12 months. A service isn't required in the same way, but it's what keeps the boiler going through a busy season, and booking the two together costs less than two visits.
