Properties in Bideford with older systems
Older terraces and converted houses near the quay and in East-the-Water often have open-vented systems with a tank in the loft and a cylinder downstairs. I pin down the cause first. If it's a quick fix, like bleeding, freeing a valve pin or resetting a zone valve, it's often done there and then, for the same fixed price.
Hillside houses and heating that won't balance
A lot of Bideford's houses are built into the slope, on several floors, with extensions added over the years. Heat takes the easiest route, so radiators on the far side or top floor can stay cool while those near the boiler run hot.
