Before you book, check the fuel. A lot of property in Chulmleigh and the parish around it runs on oil or LPG, and I work on mains gas only. If there's a tank in the garden or a filler point on an outside wall, the boiler isn't one for me. Oil needs an OFTEC-registered engineer. I don't work on LPG boilers. For LPG, you need a Gas Safe engineer whose registration covers LPG work.
I'd rather tell you that on the phone than find it out on your doorstep.

Chulmleigh is an old hilltop wool town, with a tight knot of streets around Fore Street and the church and a lot of listed and thatched property in the middle. Older houses here tend to have heating that was added a room at a time: a boiler moved once or twice, radiators sized for another era, and a flue route that took whatever space was left. I work with what's there. Old and awkward is normal work here, not a reason to be turned away. Back boilers, open-vented systems, system and regular boilers, microbore pipework, boilers sited where somebody put them forty years ago and nobody has fancied since. The one honest catch is parts: if a component isn't made any more, I'll tell you that before you spend anything.
